New Booking: Thailand it is!

It is the beginning of July and we can’t believe ourselves that we are traveling already for half a year. My goodness – time does fly when you are having fun! As we plan to go back to Germany end of August, we still had a couple of decisions to make. So where are we now?

Back in Australia: Cairns to Brisbane

After leaving the Cook Islands, we flew to Cairns in the North of Australia where we stayed a night in a hotel (where we had the Gin Tonic above) and picked up our last campervan – which we called “Queen”. It is the same model as “King” (the van we drove from Adelaide to Sydney) and we thought gender equality and all, “Queen” is the perfect name for her 🙂

Queen will be with us for a month, so on 26th of July we will drop her off in Brisbane, where we will stay four nights in an AirBnB apartment before boarding the cruise ship which brings us to Singapore. So far so good – but where to then?

Singapore – Phuket – Frankfurt

We were considering several options and also were talking to our Sydney friends Leanna, Paul and Hugo. Leanna just submitted her PhD thesis (Wohoo!! 🎉) and we were thinking about spending a couple of days together. After a few text messages back and forth, we decided to go to: PHUKET! How awesome is that?

The dates are also perfect… We can stay two full days and explore Singapore and then take a 2 hour flight to Phuket, where we will stay at the Marriott Resort & Spa at Merlin Beach for a week. Perfect to not only celebrate Leanna’s PhD thesis but also our first wedding anniversary!

This is the final week of our world trip and it’s a perfect ending. From Phuket we will then fly via Singapore back to Frankfurt; celebrating the birthday of the best mother-in-law 🥂.
