Finally the day has come and we will board our first plane to Australia. My night was quite short: I was just too excited and so many thoughts ran through my head. I basically started drafting this blog post already 🙂 We got up around 4 o’clock in the morning and an hour later we were sitting in the car with Marcel’s parents. It was a nice drive and we were very happy that we could go by car. Thanks again Uschi and Rudi for coming with us and Uschi: the egg breads were fantastic 🙂
Frankfurt – Sydney
Our plane will take off on 31st December at 10:40 o’clock and after 12 hours and 30 minutes, we will have a stop over in Taipeh (Taiwan). After resting our legs there for 1.5 hours, we fly to Sydney – which will take about 9 hours – an we will land around 19:55 o’clock. For the first couple of days, we will stay with the wonderful Lee Woods and her family. I met her at the eHealth summer school in 2017 and we stayed in contact ever since. I am so looking forward to meet her again.
What a Year!
This is it – today is the last year of 2018, and wow, this year was packed. In February Marcel proposed to me, in August we got married, in November I got my PhD, and then we quit our jobs and our apartment to go traveling. I am so excited and looking forward to this adventure. A big thank you to my family (old and new!) and friends who were at my side this year. It was a great ride! See you in 2019!
